General Terms

By reporting or purchasing a bug with The Bug Exchange, you confirm that you are in agreement with and bound by the terms and conditions outlined below. These terms apply to the entire website and any email or other type of communication between you and The Bug Exchange.

Security & Privacy

The Bug Exchange does not process any bug purchase payments through the website. All payments are processed securely through PayPal, a third party online payment provider. Feel free to contact us about our security policies.

Bug Reporting

By reporting a bug on The Bug Exchange you understand that in order to receive payment for your discovery The Bug Exchange has to approve your bug as a legitimate defect. The bug then needs to be purchased by a user and finally the Bug Exchange has to receive payment confirmation of purchase from PayPal.

Bug Purchases

All purchases on The Bug Exchange are verified by PayPal as such The Bug Exchange is not responsible for any technological delays beyond our control that prevent successful purchases being processed.


You have 24 hours to inspect your purchased bug and to determine if it does not meet with the expectations laid forth by The Bug Exchange approval process. In the event that you wish to receive a refund, The Bug Exchange will ask you to specify how the bug failed to live up to expectations. The Bug Exchange will then decide whether a refund is processed.

Changes to Terms

If we change our terms and conditions we will post those changes on this page. Registered users will be sent an email that outlines changes made to the terms and conditions.
